Lindsay N. Timcke is a principal in Marcum’s Boston Advisory and Consulting practice and a member of the Firm’s Cybersecurity and IT Risk & Assurance Services groups. He specializes in the development and implementation of cybersecurity programs and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) assessments for preventive and detective risk-based programs.
Mr. Timcke has 25 years of experience assisting nonprofits, educational institutions, public and quasi-government agencies, including several Fortune 2000 companies. He has been extensively involved in a wide range of complex engagements encompassing data breaches (retrieval of information and assets), forensic analysis related to corporate fraud, and information security preventative protection measures.
His engagement approach focuses on working closely with client teams and vendors in the creation, delivery, and implementation of risk-based programs. Often, this process will additionally include the development of protocols, policies, and procedures, as well as staff training. This may entail educating IT and Internal Audit staff on integrating regulations such as SOC/SSAE, SOX, HIPAA, PCI, GDPR into their current security environment.
Mr. Timcke joined Marcum in 2019 with middle-market and “Big 4” experience in the cybersecurity and IT risk consulting profession.
